A counterbalance forklift is probably what you will think of in your mind when thinking of a forklift truck. It comprises of forks at the front, a small cab and little else. The typical uses for these trucks would be in the warehouse, lifting, moving and placing large and heavy items.
Counterbalance forklift get their name because they’re weighted with a counterbalance weight. This prevents the truck from tipping over when carrying a heavy load. As the truck has a compact design, it allows it to get up close to the loads it needs to lift and place it in the exact place they need to go. Besides maneuvering around a space, the only movements these trucks can perform are lifting up and down.
